Best exercises for when pregnant

Hi all,

Would love to hear your suggestions on the best exercises when pregnant.

Prior to being pregnant I did circuit training, boxing classes (fitbox), zumba, walking - I am planning on continuing these activities as I haven't heard that I shouldn't.

    Anything that doesn't include jumping, running or getting hit. I've never done Zumba but I don't think it would be bad to continue if you did it regularly before. My doc says walking and swimiming are the absolute best :) Just don't over exert yourself and drink tons of water.

    You can continue what you are doing, you just can't do ab work or lie on your back in your second trimester. The most important thing is your heart rate. My midwife recommended that since I was already active that I try and stay 150 or lower. I am 26 weeks and still doing Zumba, walking/ jogging intervals, yoga and ballet.

    I tried a walking DVD i used to do prepregnancy, i can't keep up the whole way and i don't sweat as much, but it made feel like i worked out.
