My first run since New Year's day, and my last long run before the Walt Disney World HM next saturday... so I ran a Half Marathon!
I had signed up for a Sandy Hook Elementary Memorial Virtual HM... I was originally supposed to run this last Saturday, but my bronchitis kept me from trying... so I decided to add the 5K on to the 10 miles I was scheduled for today.
So, week 1 is:
Started off the year with 5.4 today.
1/1: 5.4
1/5: 13.2
Total for Week 1: 18.6
Total MTD: 18.6
Remaining for the month: 81.4
A fairly light week next week with the HM race on Saturday... total plan is 22.1 miles.

I travelled on 13/01/01 but packed my sneakers and planned my dinner reservations around running. When I got to the hotel, I changed and phoned front desk only to find out the gym was closed. I was not happy. I couldn't even run outside since I didn't pack any winter gear. So today was my first run - with a wind chill of -25C I opted for the gym treadmill - 3 miles. I despise the treadmill. And worse, I forgot earphones. I made it through though.
Sounds cold, and I can relate to not having a head set, I running with tunes, part of the reason why I enjoy to run, tones with a "beat" he he. I blame my stress fracture (this Summer) of not running with tunes, LOL - I lost the synchronization.
AND -25C is seriously COLD!!! WOW!0 -
