DM is right though, a 23 year old doesn't see a 40 year old as a potential serious mate.

Sorry ladies, but this is as true as it gets! You can ask him if he's serious, and he'll say he is.... BUT HE ISNT!!!!

Exactly. Guys will say whatever a woman wants to hear in order to get in their pants. I've used the line "I'm sick of younger women and their drama" many times to get to know older women.

Now, I'm not saying all men are liars and will say anything to get what they want. But, if a line sounds ridiculous like:

"I'm sick of these fake women and want a real women like you"

"younger women have too much drama, I want a mature woman like you"

"I'm sick of women who wear make-up, I want an all natural women like you"

They're so full of crap! The purpose of these lines is to solely boost a woman's ego and put her on a pedestal so that she gives it up much easier.

Mike is right that a lot of guys will say whatever it takes to get a woman to drop her panties.

The line about young women being drama queens has truth to it, but look at male actions. Many males continue to pursue these 21-26 year old hotties even with their drama issues because they perceive huge benefits if they can break through the clutter.

Putting a woman on a pedestal is a bad idea for a guy. Sure, there may be short term benefit, but long term it is always a drawback.

I said that line to a drunk girl awkwardly singing Bruno Mars at a bar a few weekends ago.

Guys will really say anything.. lol

For the record....this will be nothing long-term. I know that. I don't want a relationship with this guy. He's fun and sexy and thinks he's the next Tom Cruise. Lol. It's fun being around a guy with such zest for life. Some of the guys I've gone out with already have one foot in the grave. Hearing him call me sexy and want to be close to me was a huge ego boost. But..like I said in one of the last topics (tongue-in-cheek of course) for a forty year old....I'm top-tier. Lol

I think I'm defying all the talk about divorced women in their 40s with children having a hard time finding dates. Seems like there is always a guy waiting around the corner. Must be doing something right.

i think you should fully enjoy this ego boost and attention. as long as you know what you are getting into and u know this probably won't get serious. ENJOY IT HONEY!
