How it works

We all have our own weight loss/maintenance goals that we are trying to meet. In order to achieve this, we must exercise and eat properly. Of course, the most important reason to maintain our health is to escape the zombies and be able to fight them when the occasion arises. Which it will. So here is how it works:

The Rules
1) You are responsible for properly playing this game. This includes the way you report your successes and failures. This is a group effort and we all want to help each other, but you are the number one person to make it happen for you.
2) No crude content. This will result in your dismissal from the group. Common sense.

The Game Play
We will be working toward weekly goals that we will call "checkpoints." These are areas where the group "meets up" every week, thus enabling someone who has fallen behind to catch up. If you have fallen behind for the week, you must acknowledge this on the page and see if anyone can offer encouragement or advice. You then have the following week to catch up. Don't fall too far behind! In order to reach a checkpoint, you must do a cardio exercise that uses some sort of distance measurement (ie running, cycling, elliptical, etc). This way, you can determine if you have gone the proper distance to make it to a checkpoint. The checkpoints will start off small, such as 2 miles per week, and grow weekly. You can go over the requirement to reach the checkpoint, but you won't pass up the group for the sake of the game. You must still do the required amount for the following week.

There will be challenges added a couple times a week. These are optional, but encouraged. They may include certain types of core workouts to increase muscular strength. This will help you if you run into a zombie.
There will also be days when we will, as a group, run into a large group of zombies. These days will require extra challenges such as the aforementioned core workouts (in order to fight off the zombies) and will always include an increased distance for the day in order to escape the zombies.
There may be times when the group "runs out of food." These are not days to starve yourself, but we will decrease our amount of caloric intake by a small amount for that day. If you have already reached your lowest healthy amount of calories, do not do this! NEVER go below 1200 cals/day, and NEVER go below your doctor-recommended amount of calories. This is just a fun game. You are liable for your own responsible participation.

The game will last for three months. There will be a fun story attached, so check back several times a week to find out what is going on in the zombie world for you and your group.
