Hello, my name is Snitch, and I have just changed my profile to Thanks2GOD, for those who might like to friend me. I used to be Snitch1.
Anyhew: I heard Ann Curry read this on her Twitter account-about doing 26 Act;s of Kindness, one for every schoolchild and Teacher who died during the school shooting last month in Newtown, Connecticut. She thought it might make the general population feel better, as they would feel like they were contributing something-I know, personally, whenever there is something like this on the news, I WANT to help, but don't know how(short of sending money).
Now, I have been known to have a slight case of Road Rage..just a smidgen really..:ohwell:
Like when there are sign's stating the lanes in the road is narrowing, and they start the signs 3 or more blocks before the narrowing, to decrease the possible "bottleneck" in the road. But, even as we merge to the "correct lane," there is always those people who drive all the way until the lane ends, and then try to nudge their car in before you, who have been (im)patiently waiting can go. YES, I have a problem with that.:noway:
Maybe because I follow rules. I dunno. But that day I hear that about 26 Act's, I not only let 1 of "those people" go, I waved another to go also. Wow, I felt the tension leaving me right away. My fingers started to relax their stranglehold on the steering wheel, and I felt pretty good.
So, when I have a chance I do something else for someone. Feels nice.
BTW: I am going to do 28, because although what this young man did was horrendous, a SIN is a SIN, is a SIN-Meaning ALL SINS ARE EQUAL. He also killed his mother, so to me, that brings the total up to 28.
You decide. No pressure from me.
Maybe some of you MFP'ers would like to join me and make America a nice place to live in again.
