Fire at my Ex's House!

The morning after Christmas, there was a fire at my ex's GF's house (where he lived). The house was pretty badly damaged, and it sounds like most personal belongings were destroyed. Thank God that DD was with me when it happened. She was very upset when her dad called to tell her about it, but seems to be doing better now. I've been in contact with DD's teacher, and he is helping me keep an eye out for any behavioral changes that might be a red flag.
It also looks like my ex and his GF are splitting up over this (the fire, although an accident, was his fault). I haven't discussed this with DD yet, because you never know if they'll get back together.
Any suggestions as to how I can keep DD from getting depressed? She's talking about it to me, her teachers, friends, etc., so I think she is OK, but I just want to make sure I'm doing everything I can to get her through this. Any advice is appreciated!

Kids are quite resilient. As long as your child is communicating with you I wouldn't be concerned.0
