Do You Weigh In?

Do you weigh yourself? If so, how often?
I weigh in once a week and sometimes once every other week on Sundays only. If I weighed myself anymore than that, I'd go crazy! I already go crazy with the 3-4 times a month weigh-ins.
But I just wanted to know because I see some people weigh in every day and I want to know if you drive yourself crazy too with the w-ins or you feel like you are holding yourself accountable.

I will be doing my weigh ins and measurements on the level changes of the 30 days (day 1, 10, 20,30), nothing in between. And yes, weighing yourself daily can make anyone go crazy. At that point you are looking at differences of water and food moving through your body, thats not helpful for success.0

That's the same thing I was thinking. I can't see believing the scale saying I am 230 one day and the next day I am 240. The funny thing is the first time I EVER used a scale, I was about 21 years old. I was small and never really thought to use one before. But I was fascinated by the number and I started using it every day until one day, I got on and it scared the hell out of me. I was about 125 and I got on from a night of eating, drinking, etc.. and the damn thing said 133. I almost passed out!
I threw the thing away and didn't get back on another one (of my own, of course used them at the doctors) until I was 25!0 -
I weigh in once a week. usually Sundays, but now Fridays since that's the day another group I've joined does it. I like to weigh once a week because I'm not hardcore on my exercise and eating, if I get too serious then I stress and binge which is not productive. if I weigh once a week I can catch myself before I gain too much although most of the time I loose a little bit which makes me happy and encourages me to eat better and exercise more to see the scale drop again.0

I count the weight I am Sunday morning as my official weigh in, but I do weigh daily. I find it interesting to see what my body does depending on what I eat. For example my weight has shot up overnight, I put it down to pizza for dinner, the salt and water retention. I'm not worried about it as it will come off again, it's just interesting.0

I weigh myself everyday. Just out of habit. 30DS is not a workout for those looking for instant gratification on the scale. The first time I did 30DS the scale didn't budge for almost two weeks. My body was using water to repair muscle fibres and my muscles began to way more as the fat got flushed out of my body slowly. Thankfully I took measurements cause that showed me that I was losing!0

No, there will be no instant gratification but the first time I completed the Shred, I lost more than 18 inches altogether. It was awesome. Hoping to have the same results with it this time around too. Also thinking about putting my scale away until March.0 -
I don't do weigh ins, but I do take measurements. I realized I should have taken measurements on more parts of my body (thighs, calves, arms, etc.) so that I can net more inches lost. Even though I only have my chest/waist/hips measurements I've still managed to lose an inch and a half:
1/1/13: 38"/31"/38"
1/8/13: 37.5"/30.5"/37.5"
Considering that my 10 week goal (for a different challenge) is to measure 36/27/36, I'm on my way! :bigsmile:0 -
Yes, I weigh myself on Tuesday's because to other groups I'm part of has Tuesday as the weigh in day. I was kind of bummed when I stepped on the scale today and saw only a loss of 0.7 lb. I'm hoping the pounds stop dropping off soon. ; )0

Hey, a 0.7 pound less is better than a 0 pound loss or even worse..........a gain of any number. I would take it!
Congratulations on that 0.7 pound loss. Keep up the good work!0 -
