I am new to MFP. I began using it to track my food and exercise as part of a Diabetes Prevention Program. I really like all of the handy tools that help make it easier. I am happy to find that there is a group of people that I can relate to and turn to for support. I hope I can be supportive to you all as well.
My first surprise in the program was that I am supposed to track my fat intake instead of sugar. I guess since it is a prevention program, it is different than after you are actually diabetic. Anyone have an explanation that I can actually understand?

Hi Patti,
I just joined and I appreciate the introduction. I defeated diabetes a few years ago. I got my A1C down to 5. The doctors suspended all my meds including insulin. I resorted to unhealthy living and had to go back on the medication and insulin. If I did it once I can do it again.0
