    Hve you been tested for PCOS it often causes weigt gain and trouble w/ the menstral cycle. I have this and it makes it soooooo hard to lose weight and periods were irregular and when they came they were horrible! Had an ablation done,it helped somewhat, lost a little and am more regular now. Oh the joys of womanhood :flowerforyou:

    Oh Goodness yes, I cn go up by about 5 pounds then it usually goes away. Maybe its water gain???

    I was having regular cycles (well, for me regular is 3-7 weeks apart) until June of last year. I had very faint spotting in August, but nothing since. I don't know if I am starting menopause (I'm only 43) or if my weight is impacting it.

    Apparently it wasn't perimenopause. I lost enough weight (15 pounds) to kick start my cycle. Yesterday afternoon (just before I left for an overnight trip to mountains) I started my period. The first one in 8 months. :( I was happy to be done with them!
