I was manually filling out my goals to lose weight. I'm 160 and would like to get down to 125-130. I have no idea how many carbs to eat or how much protein. What are your percentages like? How much protein and carbs do you eat on a daily basis? I hope this makes sense and I can find help. Thanks so much, cysters!

Hello! Have you had a discussion with your doctor? As a guideline, keeping carbs low is good. I like to keep mine between 20-60g per day. Just remember that this is all a balancing act, so if carbs go down, other macros have to go up. I read in a PCOS book along the way that our bodies are inefficient at processing more than 35% of our intake as protein. My ideal macros are as follows: 10% carbs, 35% protein, and 55% fats. Feel free to add me as a friend, if you'd like! Good luck!

My PCP doesn't know anything about PCOS so she couldn't be of much help, but she doesn't want to me lose weight drastically fast. I'm okay with that. I'm not looking to lose all this weight in two months or anything like that. I just want to see a difference of like one to two pounds a week.

Do you count the carbs in fruit? I'm not eating a ton of fruit: just one apple, one banana, and one mandarin orange a day. If I don't eat any fruit at all, then I can keep my carbs under. I'm not eating any breads or refined sugar or juice. Seriously, the only sugar is from the fruit.

Ugh, I'm just confused. Maybe somebody with similar stats as me could help me out. I'm 5'9", weigh 160, and my goal is 125.
