Training for LA

Today starts week seven of training for the LA marathon.
I was training for the LB marathon last year but I suffered an injury and had to stop training around week five.

I was wondering if any of y'all have ran the LA marathon in the past and/or are running it this year.
I'd love to have more runner friends. (:

    I'm running LA too, it will be my 6th time doing LA (I think?).

    Be sure to train for hills, as LA has some sneaky late hills that you need to be ready for. Everyone knows about the VA hill at mile 20 (not steep, but a gradual grind at a tough spot in the race). I think mile 22/23 coming out of Brentwood and heading into Santa Monica on San Vicente is even worse. It doesn't even show up as a hill on the elevation charts, but it is a gradual incline that will suck the life out of you. If you ran it on with 3 miles on your legs, it might not even feel like a hill, but with 22+ miles on the legs, it is tough!
