Boron in the middle aged female diet

I have been doing some reading about calcium supplements and have discovered something that might be helpful. Boron is a micro-nutrient that has been shown in some studies to help increase estrogen. Of course we all know that as middle aged women, we are losing estrogen which is what leads to calcium depletions and menopause stresses. I have recently added a calcium supplement with 3 micrograms of boron. Small snacks of dark raisins and dried prunes are also excellent sources. 8 mcgs per day seems to be an optimum level. As with anything, you can overdo it. If anyone is interested, I can provide links to where I found the info and the boron levels in different kinds of foods. Or just Google it for your own independent sources.
