Hello Ladies! This is my story....

Hi Ladies,

My name's Chrissy I'm Greek-American. I've always been overweight and I've never felt comfortable in my own skin. I always envisioned being the pretty, confident, cool girl but I never was. Instead I was a shy, bushy eyebrowed, self-conscious, chubby girl who would rather sit in front of a computer then get out there and make new friends. In highschool, I didn't go to my junior prom but mustered up some guts and went to my senior prom by myself. When I begun college, I decided to take a more proactive approach so I became a member/secretary of the international students association etc. Then, pursued a Master's degree in teaching and I conquered many of my goals being overweight. I'm a teacher and I love teaching too! But, I'm sick and tired of my weight and I'm finally doing something about it! I've tried losing weight in the past and I've tried loads of diets such as Atkins and Medifast but gained all the weight back. When I hired a trainer, I lost a whomping 30 pounds and had never felt so proud but when I looked in the mirror, I still saw the unhappy, overweight girl. Guess I wasn't able to get rid of those negative thoughts and my negative self body image but ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! I was introduced to my Fitness pal by a friend who's been successful in losing 30 + pounds and she's really motivated to keep me going. On MyFitnesspal, I track my calories, my exercise routine, my weight. Most importantly, I feel empowered. I motivate others daily. I'm inspired by my friends' progress, advice, thoughtful comments and I feel fabulous, fierce, and determined to be HAPPIER, HEALTHIER, AND MORE CONFIDENT BY MY BIRTHDAY IN THE SPRING. IVE NEVER BEEN THIS COMMITTED, THIS FOCUSED, THIS READY! ARE YOU WITH ME? IN IT TO WIN IT!

Current weight: 200 pounds
Goal weight: 125 pds.

    Hi Chrissy!

    So I think you're amazing for opening up like that about your experiences!
    I know all about the self conscious thoughts, they will get to you, but you can't give up!

    You should write an entry on your experiences with the previous diets!
    We have a lot of doubtful girls on here who need motivation and I hope we can all do this to help each and every one!
