Hi Group,
I can't believe I joined MFP just days before New Years...saw JCL1974's post about it being a good idea to start a group...doing it...and now we are at 300+ members. This is fantastic. It is great that so many of us are commited to getting healthy and strong.
The problem with resolutions is that most people quit...usually in January and wait an entire year to start again. Well not this time! I'd like us to be motivated each month. Each month should be a new start so if you've had a few bad days don't fret...get right back on and don't wait. It's different this time. We are changing our lifestyle...its not a diet.
Thank you all for joining the group. I'm so inspired by each of you and am happy to be going through the journey together.

You are right....our resolutions fall by the way-side and we go right back into our old routines
How can we recommitt each month? Re-resolve to be healthier? That way it will be an ongoing resolution!
We could maybe have monthly reviews of our trials....our triumphs...things that got in our way....discuss ways to work around and beat the stumbling-blocks that hindered us for the month!
Looking forward to reading other's ideas on how we can stay strong and connected in this wonderful group :bigsmile:

I just LOVE this support group! You both have GREAT IDEAS! I would love to have a recommitment each month! But how? I guess just start a thread asking everyone to sign in and RECOMMITT! Also have them list a couple of reasons WHY they want to change their lifestyle....
Just a thought....

Good Morning! Thanks for all you do! I can't wait to log in each morning to check out our thread! Then again when I get home from work! I log on to sync my fitbit too! I find motivation for my day by reading about all of your progress! I find on my work days I am logging many more steps as I work and then hit the gym! Interesting!!! I am going to have to work harder on the weekends I guess! Have a wonderful day!0

This group has been great. I have learned a lot in a short amount of time and log in multiple times a day to see what has been posted.
I'm really looking forward to this year and the adventure we are about to under take.0 -

Exactly. Sometimes it's hard to keep going on the right track every day but we can't let that stop us from getting right back on the next day! So long as we keep moving forward a day at a time we are all going to reach our goals...and with each others help, we have got this!!0
