Apologies if this is not the correct forum for this, but I want to reach as wide an audience as possible!
I have recently heard that the government is planning to amend the Health and Safety Act so that employers won't have liability for the health and safety of their workers for the first time since 1898. I work near a factory which can be extremely dangerous for those on the floor or in the labs. Luckily, the health and safety culture is exemplary. However, if legal obligation is removed, then I fear many companes may relax attitudes to save costs in times of economic hardship.
