I try really hard, but I just can't do them. Not without being on my knees. Any suggestions?

HI! Over time you will start to do them. It really does take everyday of doing them to get better and better.
I used to think I could never be able to do the real ones but I did and was able to do 20 of them after Insanity.

Also. People have suggested doing wall pushups. I know you need a strong core to start to do the regular ones. So once your core gets stronger you will be able to.

Yeah push ups are still killer for me. When I did the fit test, I couldn't even hold myself up...and it was mostly because my wrists weren't used to holding up a 270lb person! As I proceeded with the workouts, (and when I felt hardcore), I would try to do the regular pushups but would use my dumbells as grips so as not to put pressure on my wrists. That worked pretty great. I also resort to the wall pushups when I feel less hardcore. It's only been a week and I'm finding I can do more and more floor pushups for longer periods of time without dumbells as grips, so I think I'm improving. Consistency and time will determine our progress!
