I do crossfit 3 times a week and powerlift or weight train 3 times a week. Does anyone else do this or something similar? If so, does one interfere with the other as for being sore? Usually sore from the weight training not the crossfit. Sometimes, not knowing what WOD I will do that day, I would do a WOD that emphasized the same muscle that I did the day before.

I sort of do something similar. One of the unfortunate things about teaching Crossfit is that I teach the only class time that would work for me to work out. So I end up working out alone most mornings after all of the athletes leave. I discovered over the last 12 months that I really can't stand doing WOD's solo. So instead, I typically just lift on Monday-Friday and do maybe 1-2 WOD's week at the end of my lift or on Saturday. I also do a lot of road cycling. It is not unusual for me to work out every day and do at least a double once per week (lift in AM and ride bikes in PM) but what I have noticed is that my sessions are so varied between lifting, mobility, WODs and cycling that I never get so sort that I cannot work. Most weeks I take a least 1 rest day, however, it is not that unusual for me to realize that I have gone about 2 weeks without a day off. I just listen to my body. If I wake up one day and have no desire to work out, I don't work out. Sometimes my wife makes me take a day off too. She says I am going too hard.
You don't necessarily need to take a full rest day to get recovery. Some days, I might only bench press and the next day do a bike ride. The 2 don't interfere at all. If you recently saw the Crossfit Endurance 12 week marathon training program published in Outside Magazine, there are 2-a-days several times per week and only 7 true rest days in the 12 week progression. They just include allowing one part of the body to recovery on one day while taxing another part of the body.0 -
I mean if I deadlift one day up to 100% and then the next day the WOD is for more deadlifting. Then its kinda tight and sore already.0

True. Those are the days you have to get over that drive to do the WOD at Rx and lighten the load. You can always go lighter and faster for conditioning.0

I crossfit 3x/week and run 2x a week. One of the running days will also have an extra lift day either for w/e is not sore0
