I'm training for a half marathon in May which means I'm doing a lot of outdoor running this winter. I'm in Ottawa, Ontario so the weather is cold. I already have sensitive skin and since I started running out in the cold, the skin around my eyes has become red, dry, flaky, and raw. I put Vaseline around my eyes before I run and I moisturize in the morning and at night but it's not helping. A friend suggested I try ski goggles which I'm considering. I found these on Amazon and was wondering if anyone wears anything similar and does it help? It says they're anti-fog and anti-glare which is a bonus. Unfortunately there's no user feedback on them though.

You can also get sports goggles (especially designedfor athletic events) at most eyeglass stores. Anotheradvantage is that most of them have UV protection-- which is healthier for your eyesight. I would definitely try some goggles of some sort-- or fitted sunglasses.

I use and highly recommend these (link below) for running or biking. They have interchangeable lenses and do not fog too badly. They will fog some though on cool days when there is high humidity. They fit very well and the adjustable arms keep them tight on your head without having to wear a strap.

I have prescription glasses, so no goggles here. I moisturise with coconut oil. My son gets a very chapped face during the winter, really awful and scabbed when he was younger, and the only thing that worked to clear it up was zinc baby cream overnight.

Thanks for all the responses! i picked up a pair of glasses last night and tried them out on my run and I could definitely feel more warmth in the eye area. I started using hydrocortisone cream and bag balm of all things and my eye is less swollen today and no longer sore to the touch.
