Can I do this with freeweights?

I am so excited to start SL5x5 next week (monday), but I might not be able to start with all the equipment. In fact, I dont have anything but freeweights. I plan on going yardsaling & buying whatever I can find, but in case I have no luck, I have to make due with the freeweights.

    Ye-es? I mean .... I consider a barbell to be a free weight. Its not attached to a machine. So yes? But I'm wondering if you mean dumbbells?
