Introduction

Hi all,

Just came accross this group and it looks pretty active. I have been getting back into shape over the past 7 months and have been progressively increasing my bike mileage. My wife is really the bicyclist in the family but when possible I go with her on her every other day 50 mile rides. My goal is to do a half Ironman in about 7 months on the mainland US and then one in Hawaii in 2014. That will require a lot of miles ! We are heading south for the rest of the winter next week so I shold be gearing it up very soon. Just got Aerobars and cleats/pedals/shoes for my bike so we are getting serious... It will be great to get hints and support from more experienced folks !

    welcome aboard - I don't really hold with all that swimming and running stuff (rule #42 and all that!) , but the biking sounds good :wink:

    Welcome - I can't help with the running or swimming per se (although I can admire and cheer you on!) but we do speak cycle-ese here if that helps! Warning some of us do have high geek factors on things like numbers.....
