Back for some real progress

Hi everyone. I know participating in MyFitnessPal works because I've had real success. In my first six weeks my triclycerides dropped 98 points and my cholesterol went well below the maximum. That was way back in the fall of 2011. I don't remember how much weight I lost.
Problems with mild stenosis in my lower back made it difficult to walk and especially climb stairs, so I started physical therapy about a month ago. I started including cardio work last week. There's a difference in my measurements and percentage of body fat. Of course the best part is being able to walk properly again!
Truly, logging my food and exercise makes me accountable for the way in which I care for my body. I've been in 12-step recovery for more than 16 years. I'm coming up on two years without cigarettes on 2/8/13. It's time to really work on the numbers on the scale!
I hope to hear from some of you.

Hi there,
I was heartened to read your post, just the way that through a lifetime we have a variety of challenges, and in your post you mentioned some of them that you have tackled. I think weight has been the biggest challenge of my life, not one I have been as skilful with as the others, and I am grateful that I have time to address it.. and with some luck, also a community to share the journey.
cheers,0
