Hi all! My name is Amy and was recently diagnosed with several food intolerances. No actual allergies that I know of, but intolerant to lots of food that I thought were healthy choices for me, but turns out not so much for my body. The great thing about intolerance is that after cutting things out for about 6 months I can get retested to see if I'm genetically intolerant (will always be intolerant) or if it's an intolerance my body has built up over time and I'll be able to resume those foods after the 6 months is up (on rotation of course as not to build intolerance again). I've struggled with weight no matter how healthy I was eating or working out I just couldn't drop anything it was ridiculous and also have struggled in the girly department such as fertility issues and most recently irregular cycles and pcos.

Just looking for a place to get advice, recipes, and really connect with those who are maintaining the same sort of diet no matter the reason.

I'm intolerant to gluten, dairy, soy, potatoes (bummer since it's used in most gluten-free products), and about 20 other things. The good thing is that I'm bound to lose weight since I can't eat anything anymore! Hahaha! Not really there are still plenty of things I just have to cook from scratch a lot more.

    Hi, welcome to the gorup!

Its kind of overwhelming at first but it gets easier, I hope you like cooking! And there are tons of naturally gluten free foods. Fruits, veggies, rice, quinoa, corn, meats, fish/seafood etc. Most of the pre-made gluten free foods that contain potato are junk anyway, you're not missing much there.

You can do it! I have a long list too, but maintaining my weight has not been a problem!
