I am a M-W-F for SLs... I missed Wed and then decided to just do a weight lifting class on Friday and planned to renew my love for SLs today... EXCEPT now Im drugged up on achy, sneezy, fever, sleepy so you can rest medicine.... I literally have the chills... terrible head cold I suppose....so my BRAIN tells me to not do SLs until Im better... the devil on my shoulder is saying get that *kitten* into the gym.... should I at least go do some cardio or something??? then a nice HOT shower and bed early AGAIN tonight?? I have goals and being SICK is NOT in the contingency plan....

Every time I try to workout when sick it ends badly for me, so I don't personally. I end up being sick way longer than normal, or an old injury starts hurting again etc.

No, if I feel poorly or even overtired I skip the heavy lifting. You need to rest and recover. When ill, your body needs this more than ever. Well, my body does, in any case : )

There's a two-fold reason for not working out: (a) Your body needs to rest in order to fight the bugs, and (b) going to the gym while sick just gets everyone else sick. Not cool. Stay home, stay warm, drink your fluids, and enjoy the downtime as much as you can without guilt. :)
