Warming up

You can use whatever warm up routine you like, but make sure you warm up and stretch your neck, shoulders, triceps, back, chest, abs, sides (obliques), hips, glutes, hamstrings, quads, ankles, and calves.

I personally do a few minutes of cardio and a combination of yoga and the stretches they taught us in gym class in high school. =)

This isn't a video, but it does give some good advice on why you need to stretch. When I find a video that encompasses a good warm-up/stretch routine that doesn't require you to have prior knowledge of dance moves, I'll post it. Otherwise, I may end up making my own.

would love to know when you do make you own if that is what you do. it is really hard to find anything out there that is now really over the top for a beginner. I need to start from the basics.
