Hi there HR folks! Just wanted to say hello and motivate all you local MFP runners (and walkers) to participate in our areas many races. I have a blast at each one I do, not to mention the sense of accomplishment from crossing that finish line! So lace up your shoes and get moving

My first 5K I will be training for is the Virginia Beach Rock n Roll Half Marathon and 5K. Hubby is running the Half.

I know the Shamrock is coming next month: March 16-17 depending on your event. There's an 8K on the 16th and the half/full marathons are on the 17th.

Edit: And now that I searched for a marathon of any kind I got an ad for Richmond's "Filthy 5K" on May 17th.

Thanks for posting this info. I am volunteering for the Shamrock this year, both days. One day through the event and one day with my husband for EMS. I will check out the Filthy though! Thank you!!

Anyone going to sign up to do the Color Me Rad in Newport News?

I missed the sign up for the one in VB, did not know they were doing Newport News. Will have to check to see if I can do it, will let you know if I am.

Yeah! VB filled up so fast they are opening one for Newport News. It will be on April 28th. Sign up information is forthcoming according to website.

The Mud Run is being held in the area on June 8th and 9th.
Not sure if I am ready but its going to be fun trying.
