Sets question

I am doing sets like this:

Workout A

Squat 5, BP 5, BR 5 - rest, repeat each set 5 times.

Should I be doing:

Squat 5x5, rest, BP 5x5, rest, BR 5x5, end

Also I cannot do squats with a bar yet. I am doing them either without a bar or with a broom handle so I can build up strength and make sure I have the correct form. My husband is building me a squat rack so that I can start using an empty weight bar. Maybe it's just mental block right now out of fear that I won't be able to stand back up??!!

Props to your awesome husband for building you a squat rack! After the broom, you'll probably need something in between body weight and the bar. You can use lots of different things for weights, and maybe do a different type of squat (like a goblet squat) holding objects of different weights. Or if you have your plate set already, you can do goblet squats holding different sized plates until you can do the bar. Since they are two separate types of squats with different form, I'd at least do the body weight with broom as a warm up so that you keep your form clean.

I have been doing these drills and they do seem to be working and one does include kettle bells! Thanks auddii!
