Welcome to the Orange Theory Fitness Plymouth Group on My Fitness Pal
This group is a way for the Orange Theory Staff to communicate with members on My Fitness Pal (MFP) and members to post certain things like recipes they have found.
In order to get started with My Fitness Pal you will need to create an account. To do this go to www.myfitnesspal.com and create an account. Once you have created an account you will need to change your diary settings so that “friends” can view them. This is one way Orange Theory trainers can give you feedback on your workouts and food. It is also a great tool to communicate and encourage other members.
To change your diary settings from the My Home page
Go to Settings>Diary Settings>Diary Sharing> select Friends Only.
Now you can start adding friends
Once your diary settings have been changed, let the Front Desk know that you have created an account on My Fitness Pal and let them know your user name. They will provide you with a list of trainer/Staff emails/usernames so you can friend them. They will also invite you to join the Orange Theory Plymouth Group.
To add friends
From the My Home page click on Friends (it is in the blue bar) When the friend page comes up click Add Friends by email. Enter their email and a friend request will be sent to them. Once they confirm your request you will be friends.
You can also send friend requests by looking at your friends friends and sending a request.
To do this click on a friend’s name under the Friend tab. This will take you to their page. On the lower left side of the page there is a block that says “username” friends. Click on the link and you will see all their friends. To send a friend request all you need to do is click on their name and click on Add Friend
To start logging your food you can use the website or the app for smart phones/tablets. To add food you can search for it, or you can also scan the UPC label to search in the database.
