Friday night was Burns night. A traditional Scottish celebration to Robbie Burns, a poet! You say an ode to the haggis, then you eat the haggis and drink lots of Scotch Whiskey. OMG!

Fab night, but I am never drinking whiskey again.................I'm just about feeling normal today, and I've developed a hairy chest!!

Saturday, I went to see Django Unchained - marvellous!!

    Sunday, chillaxed!

I hear ya on the whiskey! I had one of those nights w beer last week. Have fun shaving your chest!

I started to learn how to knit and have almost completed my first scarf. I'm cool like that. :smokin:
    Woo hoo!

I want to make Jayne's hat from firefly, and The Doctors scarf eventually.

First I need to make a Green Lantern scarf (for me) a Blue Lantern scarf (for my sister) and a Star Sapphire scarf (For my bestie)
I got Jayne's hat @ Seattle's comic con last year. A Browncoats Seattle chapter was selling them with the profits going to a animal shelter.

I make it a point to get at least one interesting hat each year at comic-con, though I usually go for the fox ones. You should take a pic of you wearing it and put it as your profile pic! And I LOVE that the proceeds went to an animal shelter - that's one way to ensure I would buy something like that!

CHALLENGE. ACCEPTED! I'm pretty good about limiting myself on stuff I get @cons. Artwork is my kryptonite and now that I lost tons of weight, shirts as well since I can find my size now. Speaking of 'stuff', Jenbit's wallet hates me and the LOOT thread over @ Geek Squid.

Haha, that looks hilarious! I use the cat lady thing as more tongue in cheek but my life is definitely animal centric :)

Spent the entire weekend in Nashville with the guy I have been seeing for awhile now. We enjoyed a lot of good music and drinking but the highlight of our trip was zip lining yesterday afternoon. That was kick *kitten*.
Awesome! Zip lining may not be quite as fun as beer explosions, but it still sounds like a good time ;-p

When I got divorced, I got this urge to knit for some reason. I never even finished anything, but it was soothing just to have something to do. I found this book in the knitting section of the bookstore, so I had to buy it! I'm not actually a cat lady either, but it was still funny!

I just got sick of seeing nerdy things that I wanted cost so much when I knew I was perfectly capable of making them myself. That meant I had to either learn to make them, or pony up. Since I hate spending money... I'm making them hahaha

I once made a Roman Blind. It took me 20 hours non stop (I'm the most resilient person I know and I refused to stop until I finished it!) and I swore I would never try and make something when I can buy it, EVER again!!

I figure what it cost me in money for the materials, time, frustration, patience and stress wasn't worth it.

It looked alright tho and its served it's purpose for a few years, but still... did my head in!

Haha, I think it's managing to not make me crazy because I am allowing myself to stop! I just try and do it while watching TV or movies, or if my roomie and I are just hanging out and chatting. I actually miss it when I'm at work and wish I could just stay home and knit all day XD

Friday - peaceful, went to sleep early.
Saturday - went to the mall with two friends, dressed up in new outfits and hit a country bar!
It was fun because Big and Rich were there! They'd just played a show at a casino nearby. At the bar there was a cover band and we danced our butts off!! And drank some beer!
Sunday - gym and mini burgers and watched a movie.

Sounds like you're enjoying it, which would make a huge difference. Sewing is not something I enjoy. However, my Mum taught me to knit when I was a teenager so I think if I picked it up again I might enjoy it. Some day, maybe

Man, I would love to learn to sew, but just getting started in that is so expensive. Maybe later in life.

What ?!?!?! Where do you live that Big and Rich were just "there" at a country bar... and how do you feel about random visitors you've never met who may or may not be stalking you on the internet????

Haha Minneapolis! They played a show at a casino half hour out of town!
