This is sort of a spin off of another thread I read (and loved) last night. I am constantly questioning everything I am doing about losing weight while I breastfeed, and thought it would be great to hear from other moms who have been successful. Hopefully this will give me some insight as to what to do and expect. Thanks for taking the time to answer some questions!!!
Age?
Height?
Starting Weight?
Current Weight?
Time it took to lose weight?
Daily calories consumed?
Did your milk supply ever drop?
Did you exercise? If so, what types?
Did you eat back exercise calories?
Any tips/advice?
Thanks so much ladies!!

Hi! Good idea!! I am still in the process of losing my weight, my little guy is 8 months old. I have lost everything I gained during pregnancy, but I gained 40 pounds in the year before that I am working on now.
Age? 29
Height? 5'2"
Starting Weight? 230
Current Weight? 179, heading back to the 135-140 I was at 2 years ago
Time it took to lose weight? 6 months
Daily calories consumed? 1700-1800
Did your milk supply ever drop? Not at all. When I first started dieting, I ate less calories (around 1300) and it dropped. I took fenugreek to boost it back up. No problems once I uped my calories though.
Did you exercise? If so, what types? Not as much as I like. I go to the gym 2-3 times a week (usually 2) and do what I can on the treadmill and the bike. I had a knee injury years ago, but I do what I can. I also do Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred...love it!! Only a couple times a week though.
Did you eat back exercise calories? Not always. I am not consistant with that at all. The last few weeks I have been eating them back a little more.
Any tips/advice? I am still learning. I try not to "diet" but just change things I know I can keep up with forever. I don't deprive myself of snacks and sweets, but I limit them, and will not have them if I will go over my calories. I eat a lot of the same foods, just smaller portions. It took a while to get the hang of, but I think I finally found a good balance.0
