I am going completely out of my comfort zone next week. A few of my friends have coerced me into trying speed dating with them.
Have any of you done this before? I am so nervous! lol.

No thanks, no interest in being rejected 15 times in 15 minutes.0

Seems like a bad idea and forcing yourself to meet people for the sake of meeting people. Go out and do things you enjoy. Meet someone that is also doing one of those things you love and you'll have a great start to a relationship.
Disclaimer: I need to take my own advice.0 -
You first two posters are silly, you have nothing to worry about! Neither of you would be rejected!.
Huzke: I definitely agree that it would be ideal to meet someone that way... But I am having no luck  (they are married/too young/don't date single parents/just not interested). I like the concept of speed dating because you know that everyone there is looking to date! And you know after the event who is interested in you, and who is not.
Ha ha we will see... I still have a week and a half to change my mind.0 -

I went! And it was actually kinda fun! There were ALL types of people there, very normal people, and I did not feel rejected by any of them (even had one guy stick around after event and offer me drinks & food).
That being said... I met about 14 guys and did not feel "the spark" with any of them. I guess for that reason alone, speed dating is not for me... It DOES need to happen more naturally.
It was a fun time though, and I recommend it!0 -
I've been speed dating once before.
I got a couple of dates out of it, although I didn't go on a second date with any of them.
All in all it was a fun experience, and I'd recommend anyone to do it!0
