Now this may be of interest, BBC 2 programme by Dr Michael Mosely, same one as the 5.2 diet.
Can just 3 minutes of intense exercise a week give you a longer life and make you fit etc?

I saw this last year. interesting, but I am still on the fence. Definitely not recommended for anyone not used to exercise and who have not recently done any approaching their max hr.0

If it's the programme I'm thinking of then I saw it last year. Quick high intensity exercise I think is good but I would have that as part of a bigger exercise programme that also includes lower intensity but more endurance exercises, plus strength training and something that improves flexibility (Pilates or Yoga for example). I think a combination of everything is better than all of one and nothing of another - just my opinion0
