Ladies Only - TOM

I know this is a private topic, but...
Since we are only in week 4, it had not occurred to me until this week that my "special time of the month" might effect my weight.
I know it sounds crazy, but I was thinking - ok, I maintain or gain weight and go on exile island, then I'm on the 3 week having to lose thing, then get off exile island just in time for that time of the month again. Vicious circle! My question to the ladies is... Has this been an issue for any of you as far as not meeting your 1lb goal?

    It can definitely have an effect....I try to just make sure I don't use it as an excuse to gain...try to eat well knowing you have to work extra hard that week that way if you don't gain/lose that week you won't have to spend time making up extra weight.

    Its an issue for me and its good if it is just one pound. I track my cycle, moon and weight for few years so I know that before period I gain 4 pounds (due to extra food cravings for 2 weeks and water) and after I lose it in few days. This time I worked extra hard to keep my weight in check and I am hoping that on next weight in my period pounds will melt away.

    I was pretty freaked out when it looked like I was going to be up by 3 lbs, but when I weighed in today, I was even with last week, so I am happy about that.

    I have the same probably...I can go up as much as 5 or more pounds during that TOM even if I am working out and eating healthy but as soon as its over I will drop that and even more it seems. I am a bit worried that I will be sent to exile island this coming week as a result but I am still working hard and hoping that this month will be different..:)

    Yes, last week I scraped a 1lb loss although I did lots of exercise and on a regular week would probably have lost 2.

    That's so irritating, isn't it? When I weighed and it showed I didn't lose anything, I got so upset. Overly dramatic? Maybe, but I just wanted something to show for all my hard work. :ohwell:

    I am the same way. Only since losing weight I have been having my monthly more like bi-weekly. I am not regular. It sucks. Just push yourself to workout during that TOM.
