Morning MFP UK
I was wondering if anyone would be interested in having a MFP meetup maybe in a hotel or function room some where some drinks, buffet food and such?
Give us some replies on here, if your interested even better if you would be interested in helping set it up!
Regards
Steve

I've already met up with a few MFPals! Organising a bigger meet of any sort.....Good luck!! Much as I would love to take part in something like that, it's when and where, and working out costs.0

I would love to but the problem is we all live the length and breadth of the country...I'm on the south coast, some of my friends are in Scotland!!

I do understand the issues for people meeting over the distances we know people on here.
Maybe if someone could arrange one midlands, up north and down south (where i am)0 -

I've been involved in the organisation of a few online/real life meets and the logistics are a nightmare!! For the East Midlands there's already a Group set up for 'trying' to organise a meet......http://www.myfitnesspal.com/forums/show/10417-east-mids-mfp-meet0 -
There are Parkruns organised every Saturday morning all over the country. That would be a good venue to meet up at and as it's a weekly event the meets could be arranged often so those who can't make one date might catch up on another date - maybe arrange it for the first Sat of every month for example. You could run/walk as a group or individually and then meet together for a coffee afterwards as many Parkrun's have a cafe nearby or in the park. Those who can't walk or run the 5k for whatever reason could still be there to cheer all the others on and meet for the coffee afterwards. Just a thought and suggestion - personally I'm not interested in organising anything like that (nighmare springs to mind! lol) but would be happy to say hello to anyone who attends my local Parkrun which I'm at most Saturdays0

OMG, I am within spitting distance of you [Lovedean], and probably passed each other in Waitrose, Asda or even Bird in hand at some time
I am going to send a friend request, but feel free to decline if unsure & geographic proximity makes you uneasy0 -

This is a great idea IMHO or it could be done round the 5k race for life though entrants must be female as for organising a hotel function- well I just don't think they could meet our dietary needs! Beige food prevails- better to go for a museum I had lunch at Wellcome museum in London today and their range of salads is delicious. colourful and healthy! Even a chain like kPret would do better than a hotel foodwise. Regional meets could be a plan also.0 -
