Weekend plans?

What is up for the weekend for Superbowl weekend?

Not much for me....I may surprise my mom and take her to the casino tomorrow--not my favorite place, but high on her list!

On Sunday, going to my cousins Superbowl party, and I am making chili. I most likely will not stay for the whole game--on way past my bedtime! I hated living in WA state, but I did like the games on Sundays were over early :)

I am going to go visit my old hippie ladies in Bisbee, AZ...do some dancing to some live music and act a fool. Without drinking...I am sworn off drinking for the first quarter of this year.

An Alefest tomorrow with the BF and his friends. Sunday we are having a Super Bowl gathering - so Sunday morning we'll spend cleaning. YEAH! Hoping to try out the fireplace too since it's bitter cold right now (10 this morning). After the 65 degree day we had on Tuesday it just seems wrong...

Super Bowl Homeboy! My brother is throwing a party so I will be making chili dogs and heading there. Saturday I'll be sitting home as it's too fricking cold to leave the house, for me anyway.

Has this changed your social life at all?? I've cut way back and tend not to see as many people on the weekends, yet my personal productivity has gone way up.

This weekend is the usual dog stuff and volunteering, but then I also have a few "girl" things to take care of. Bluh. Not looking forward to the manicure. :grumble:

Let's see... Saturday I might have a date with a cool guy! (all depends on schedules and stuff)

Superbowl Sunday..... taking my daughter to get our hair cut, manicures, pedicures, facials and massages... LOL Probably will be home by halftime.

Hope to have a relaxing day off... yes, I work 6 days a week so I have to make Sunday really count!

This is our busy time of year at work, so probably working late tonight and tomorrow. Then going to a hockey game with tGF and her kids Saturday night. Sunday I'll probably head over to my buddy's house for the game and then call it a night.

No it hasn't changed a thing, I've never been a big drinker....maybe four or five beers on a Saturday night once a month.

I volunteer at an animal rescue. There's a lot of farm animals that I get to clean up after, but there are also a few non domestic. I get to play with an African Serval, gray fox, fennec fox and emu... stuff like that. It's pretty great! It's the kind of work that I hope to get paid for someday. It's awesome too because when I'm doing the farm animal side I'm allowed to bring Rufio. I got the cutest video of him playing with a mini horse last weekend!

I generally liked going out sober every once in a while...you didn't feel so sh!tty the next day and you got
Stuff done but it was still fun to go out and hang with friends!

That's awesome. I also volunteer at an animal-type place, but nothing so exotic. They help care for companion animals / service animals for disabled and very ill people. It's mostly just driving around and delivering food and stuff, or walking dogs when I can. It's nice being able to help these people maintain their pets at a time where they are so important in their life.

That's so great! I wasn't even aware that was a service people could use. How did you stumble across it? Is it something that also doubles as networking for potential future jobs (like my gig) or is just overall fulfilling for you?

Me too! Except I'll be at the gym when I get off. Also have the weigh in on Saturday for the weight loss challenge. Lost 4lbs. last week. Hope I get at least 2 tomorrow. My teammates all did pretty well dropping between 3-6 lbs each. I think our team is in 5th place overall.

That is awesome! I am going to try and hit the gym too! I am doing a challenge too, and I do my starting weight in one week from Sunday. I'm sooo nervous.

Yeah. It makes it "worth it" but I don't like strangers touching me. I'm making another friend come with me cause she likes that sort of stuff which will soften the impact.

Good luck on your weigh in! You'll be spectacular :)

I was trying to donate some time to the SFSPCA and they actually told me they had too many volunteers! I was walking down the street and saw a building labeled "PAWS" and looked it up online when I got home. http://www.pawssf.org/

Well that's a good problem for them to have! I've never been turned away by a place because they have too many volunteers. It's cool that you found something you enjoy!

Oh my gosh that site is so cute.

Tomorrow will be a late date with J. Not sure what we'll be doing or when (they're hosting a regional tourney at the high school, so a long day for him).

Sunday will be a Superbowl party with friends.
