Have to share

My son Jared is going to be 20 this month. His DX is severe autism and "moderate retardation". While he is the light of my life, he is a handful at times.

Jared is a BIG BOY at 6'1" and 215 pounds.

In additon, he has some OCD issues.

I have been trying to show my family what real servings of things are. I weigh everthing I put into my mouth now.

The other evening, Jared wanted Cheetos Puffs. I told him to get a bowl and was washing my hands to help him. He got the bowl, got my scale, turned on the scale and but the bowl on top then pushed clear. I watched while he began to put the cheetos in the bowl.

While he did not have any idea when to stop loading his bowl, he was content when I told him, while pointing to the scale, 28g. That is where we stop with cheetos.

He makes me smile!
