Frustration ? Messing up

This is a carry over from the SBC board. I mess up a lot but I think it's life--we have done so good for so long and now it's getting harder, the weight is coming off slower and sometimes it takes weeks to make that scale move then all of the sudden you have gained a few lbs!!

Does anyone have issues with water retention? I can try to drink all the water we're supposed to but I never get it all in. I take the pill but sometimes it's very hard to do when I work nights; so it's hard to try to fit everything in.

Interested to hear the rest of the groups thoughts.

I started the messing up around 6 months out so last month. I think for me when I sliped up I relized it right away I posted about it emailed the nutritionist about it. Im doing much better now I relized right away I had to get a handle on it becaue I didn't want it to become habit I worked so hard for the first 6 months trying to change my bad habits and didnt want them creeping back in. But you are right it does get harder as time goes on its discouraging to go weeks and have the scale not move. Latley with exercise 5 to 6 days a week and eating correctly and getting all my water in my body seems to drop the weight its gonna drop within one to two weeks out of the month the rest of the month the scale does not budge. I am learning to deal with it by looking at how far I have come through NSV's. I mean my highest clothing size was a 26/28W and now I can wear between a 14 12 jean I even bought a pair of size 10 jeans that are still a bit tight but they button lol. They were on sale and I figured well this can be my next pair of goal jeans. I found changing things up uping my protein to around 80-90 and changing my exercise up made the scale move a bit and I get 6 bottles of water out each morning and make myself finish them all by the the time I go to bed. I can't fit more then 6 bottles tho on here when I log that makes it 12 cups of water. Makes it hard tho because Im in the bathroom peeing all the time lol. I feel for you working nights.
  • You may laugh at this, but I've used canned green beans to help loose water weight for years. I had an elderly patient tell me this many years ago. I thought she was pulling my leg.....so I tried it and it worked. Eat about half a can and get ready to run to the ladies room. Hope this helps!
