any Worldvision Marathoners out there?

Going to a meeting mid Feb. to see if I can do the Chgo. Marathon as part of the Worldvision Team. :)

    Worldvision is a Christian Organization that focuses on sponsoring children all over the world so that they can get an education and help to lift their communities out of poverty. They also focus on preventing disease ie Malaria and providing drinkable water.
    They sponsor a big team for the Chgo. Marathon... just wondering if anyone here had participated in it? Seems like a good group and might make the training easier if it's for a good cause?

    You sold me on it. If there is any way to somehow turn running into a ministry, I'm definitely in!

    Lopez Lomong is one of their celebrity runners, he is a two time Olympian... carried the Flag in Beijing, a really awesome story! He is one of the Lost Boys of Sudan , I just finished his book "Running for my Life". Quite inspirational!!
