Protein vs Calories

anyone out there having trouble balancing protein with calories? Now I have done every diet there is so I
Am going to try very hard to figure this out because I am obviously not doing this correct. I seem to alway go over on protein or if I don't go over I am not eating enough calories. I like cottage cheese, avacado's, Greek yogurt but way to much protein. At the end of the night I have to much protein so I end up instead of grabbing almonds I may make popcorn instead because there is no protein. Help? Getting frustrated. Any comments what am I doing wrong here

I too have found myself consuming more-than-needed protein and not enough carbs. What a shocker. I thought that carbs would always be over. I'm now trying to balance my intake better. About the almonds, they are so good, but so heavy in calories. I finally had to wrap them up and put them in the basement to keep my hand away.0
