Are you staying motivated?

Hi all! I had two bad days last week where I just didn't care. I went over my calories and liked it. haha! I hadn't been able to exercise in a few days because I'd irritated my knee and it was swollen and painful. Since that time, I've been more bloated, uncomfortable, disappointed in myself even. I've also been seriously craving a salad and getting antsy because I *needed* to exercise so I could feel my heart pumping. Yesterday I "re-started" after my backsliding. I exercised, stayed under my calories, and felt good about it. I stepped on the scale this morning and am up two pounds. That's actually normal for me when I exercise for the first time in a few days. It still felt like a kick in the butt. I seriously regretted going off the rails for two days. In a weird way it boosted my motivation again though. I was starting to get bored and now I'm recommitted. How's everyone else doing?

I have been drifting toward the same mindset. I notice that when I don't make the time to check in with the boards, I find myself sliding back into old habits. I need to include getting some motivation from my girls in my daily routine!

I am trying to power through a period without motivation. I haven't gone off target, but it has been a struggle. My body is going through a couple of challenges right now and my mind isn't helping.

    I hit a wall today.

Between a general feeling of being overwhelmed (work, kids, husband, exercise, diet, etc) and eating too much (but mostly good choices) at the Super Bowl party yesterday.....

I struggled with my walk. I decided I was going to walk 1 mile. If I still didn't feel good I would stop. I did. BUt I went back a couple of hours later. I am still not feeling it. But I'm going to keep moving. (Feel free to kick me in the butt if you see me slowing down!)

YES!! This is the longest I have stuck with a program in my life! I have been overweight since I was 13 yrs old. I have my days when I just dont want to exercise and need chocolate but I have been very diligent with my logging and calories.

Since January 2nd- I am down 17 lbs, 23 inches and 2 pants sizes. I deal with adveristy and discouragement through this process but I have come to the conclusion that I want this for ME. The low-motivation are the days I have to really push myself. I have met some amazing people on here that really encourage me along the way.

You CAN do this! I wish you the best of luck along your journey. :) Feel free to add me if you'd like.
