Question about deloading...finally!

So on my OHP today I started with 60 and did, 5, 5, 5, 2, 1 and couldn't get the bar up anymore. Do I attempt to lift 60 again next week and try to finish all reps or do I deload and then try to finishing all reps and work my way back up?

Attempt 3 times, if you fail the 3rd time then deload by 10%0

Ok, so if I do it the 2nd or 3rd time...should I only to up to 62.5 or should I try for the full 65? Or is that just a personal choice? lol0

in my opinion it is personal choice, but i failed at 55 once before getting it the next session. I figured a jump to 60 would be extreme, so I only went up to 57 (by using elastic bands to attach 1 pound handweights to my barbell--creativity points too!) And I made the 57, so I'm going to try 59 tonight.0
