Loose skin after major weight loss

I have been doing some research and talking with my Personal Trainer but still haven't gotten a concrete answer on whether or not my skin will tighten back up. I am only 28 and lost about 85lbs. in 10 months which is a lot and I am even being told I have to gain a few of the pounds back now. My trainer says that the only way I could probably lose the loose skin is to have elective plastic surgery which I am really really hesitant to do. Does anyone who has experienced weight loss have an answer for me?

First of all, congratulations on an amazing achievement! I cant even imagine how proud you must be to have accomplished that kind of weight loss. To put that in perspective, you have lost the equivalent of my 11 year old child in fat....wow! I would pay a visit to a dermatologist before I committed to plastic surgery. I know that may seem funny but they do study the skin and have what is probably the most comprehensive understanding of the physiology of skin and its elasticity. I would be interested to hear what you find out.0

I have some of the same problems.. I have looked and read and watched YouTube vids.. Most of what everyone says is time is the biggest thing.. Age.. How long and much you were over weight.. I have been putting more muscle on my frame. and that seems to work..
Water intake, A Collagen Supplement (I use a bone broth collagen supplement). Vit D, Avocado, Sweet Potatoes, Green Tea (natural anti oxidant, Fish Oil, Coconut oil, Omega 3, blueberries (natural anti oxidant).. I'm still learning about this as well.. exercise is good for over all health..(A friend told me bigger muscles take up the slack in the skin.. LOL)0
