Hi all! I'm sorry for the slight hiatus from the board. Tragedy and drama. A brother and sister who are almost like siblings to me lost their mom and I wanted to attend the funeral and be there for them in case they needed me. :frown: Before that my husband decided that we should separate. I haven't heard from him in a full day, so his mind is probably made up. :brokenheart:
I only bring these up because I now see that my fitness and nutritional habits are not outside all the hoopla and trauma of my life, THEY ARE a part of my life along with it all. I kept treating it separately as an accessory. I would like to be more mindful that going forward.
As for HIIT 20, I got my Shweat on a bit - not a lot, because I didn't have a lot of fuel. Fried chicken and biscuits is not fuel - when you're working out, it's more like lead. LOL! Well, my work week starts now. I'm going in the office with a workout under my belt and that's a great start to this day.
Look! It's before 7 AM and I can see outside! Come on spring! :drinker: Have a great day y'all!

CK, I'm so sorry to hear about all of your troubles I hope that things start looking up for you very quickly. You should feel proud that you still managed to get a workout in for yourself! It seems like every time I have some sort of personal drama going on, I always make an excuse not to work out. Keep working at it girl!
As for me, my pregnancy test came back negative today (bad news in the first 2 posts of this thread?! Gah!) so my DH and i will be looking into IVF this summer. DH is also leaving for a month starting the 25th for an Army school in Georgia... so I am going to really, really focus on my fitness goals now. To be honest, I tried to keep my workouts 'light' during my 2 week wait just in case I was pregnant. Now that I know I'm not, I am going to make it my goal to reach my ideal weight by the time I go for IVF. The healthier I am, the better shot I have at this working, I figure. Plus, I won't have to worry about my hormones being all jacked up for the next few months, which will be nice. I hate feeling like a weepy, bloated grump all the time =P
I have decided that I am going to do the 5 Day Inferno plan for the rest of the week, and then jump back into Week 14 next week. Let's see how I do with the 1200 calorie per day meal plan. No way I could do it for more than 5 days!0 -
Jeni & CK, wow ladies tough love this week for you both. Thinking about you both and praying things will keep getting better.
As for me I am finally feeling better, my pulled whatever seems to be recovered. I did CLX burn 3 and fire 30 on monday. Today I was to do fire 55 ez and as you know I don't like that one, so I did fire 60 (which I love). I feel fine other then being VERY sore. lets just say I am well aware of my leg/butt muscles I went to the doctor today and she wants to do tests on everything which is fine by me I want to know if something is up, not just guess. She said she wants to test for gluten free and electorlites and some others I can't remeber. She seems to think that my electrolights are down and wants me to drink a cup of water with a Tablespoon of sugar and a teaspoon of salt in it. To help my electrolights get back up. NO WAY, I am not doing this since we don't know anything is up or not. that was the only thing I didn't agree with. I have to get blood work done, and go back in two weeks. I am not looking forward to the whole blood thing I hate needles!!! I knew they would want to do that but I really hate needles. Did I mention that?? I almost pass out when they drawl blood from me. Not good. *Sigh* Keep pushing play!!!!!0 -
Happy Valentine's Day to my Turbo Buddies!!
Vini, so glad you're feeling better!! I also switch Fire 55 EZ for Fire 60. Like you, I hate 55EZ. I'd rather take the 2 extra fire drills and do the 60.... OH! And I have a blood tip for you! I used to almost pass out every time I got blood drawn, and then one of the lab techs gave me a piece of advice.... it works as long as it's not the sight of blood and/or the needle that freaks you out... try flexing the muscles in your legs. Seriously, it sounds weird, but it works like a charm for me. I call it my "happy feet" trick.
Today I did Fire 45 and I'm trying to decide if I want to actually do the HIIT 20 today or do Upper 20 instead. My hubby is taking me on a 5.3 mile hike tomorrow (Oy!) So I don't want to be achy tomorrow. I finally got around to taking new measurements, and although I am STILL at the same weight I've been at since Christmas, I have lost a couple of inches all over, which is encouraging.0 -
Small update: Did HIIT 20.... and starting to regret it now, lol. My butt is sooo sore!0

I've been having a really off week this week. Eating crappy and no regular workouts. I will be restarting Week 10 on Monday. I hope everyone had a nice "single awareness" day today.0

Hi ladies, if you have seen my board at all you have seen my rough day on thursday, but good news it's over. We celbrated V-day with the kids last night. I did an indoor pinic and we had alot of fun. Nice relaxing evening for me. I pushed play today doing CLX push 1 and a HIIT 15. I do enjoy those HITTs.
@Jeni- thanks for the tip I will be trying to have "happy feet" I will let you know how it goes I hope you enjoyed your hike. We love hiking and can't wait for warmer weather to take the kids.
@Stel- Everybody has rough weeks and the best way is to just say hey it was bad and jump back into doing it. Starting over week 10 is a smart idea. We are rooting for you.
Oh and one other note we had something running around in our walls at night and I though it was mice. We set traps and caught a few. Then we thought maybe it was rats *shudders* and set more traps. Whatever it was triped the traps and cleaned them of the bait. So frustrating. We then heard lots of noise like babies. UH OH!! My hubby climbed the latter to the attic to see if he could see down into the wall. When what should he see looking back at him but 3 flying squirrls!!!! Yup we have flying squirrls living in our wall and attic. Smart little buggers. After doing research we found out the are two kinds in PA and one is on the endangered list. The only way to tell a differance is to have them side by side. So we don't really know what to do and to call a pest person is to expensive (I priced it). Nothing to do with fitness but if you have any ides I am all ears. Hope you ladies have a great weekend. Keep pushing play!!!!0 -
Vin...try calling your local forest preserve or local wildlife co which I believe is part of the forest preserve. They should be able to help you out. Good luck!0

@ Vini- Flying squirrels! Holy cow! I agree with Preshusgem, try calling a forest or animal preserve. My DH and I found a baby raccoon once back in Indiana, and we had to call a few forest preserves before we found one that would help.
I'm on Day 5 of the inferno Plan (I switched Fire 55EZ with my hike on Friday, but I seem to be doing pretty good trying to keep my calories in line). Tomorrow I'll start Week 14 over again.0
