Accidental Gluten?

I have been GF for almost 4 years. I have not had an episode in over 2 years. Today I had an episode, out of no where I got sick and vomited. I use to have these episodes weekly. I am not sure what I could have ate or am I just coming down with the Flu. Honestly, I cannot tell the difference.
Anyone else have trouble telling the difference between accidental gluten contamination or a real honest to goodness virus.

Sorry to hear you are ill.
Usually if it gluten the attack will ease off after 24 hours while a bug may linger a while longer. I've found taking plenty of pain killers, antihistamine and water helps a lot. I also find that if I've been glutenated i crave food while having a bug I'm just not hungry.
Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery,0 -
Mojo I've been taking probiotics and digestive enzymes and both of those combined have helped me to not have ANY reactions.
I'm sure it won't work for everyone but thought I'd throw that out there for you....0 -
In the early days, I was on proboditics. It has been years though. I was pretty much healed, so I thought.
It may be a gluten attack. I do not have a fever. But I am lacking energy, the way I use to when I was sick.
Plus I am hungry and I ate two bagels(UDI's) and my stomach seems fine for the most part.
UGH, now I got to figure out what I ate.0 -
You know, interesting that you posted this. I "tested" a food last night to see if it would gluten me (crazy, I know)... and I was fine up until AFTER I posted in this thread! Go figure.
Took my magic pills and just waiting for them to kick in. Oy vey.... :grumble:0
