I have knee problems where if I do too high impact workouts or too many jumps/jumping jacks then Il be unable to bend my knees or do much with my knees. I quite like the idea of this workout as its wlaking which I like to do anyway. I do a 20 minute kettlebell routine 3-4 days a week plus cardio 20-30mins a day 3-4 days a week. I try to average 3hrs of exercise a week.
My question is with calorie control and these workouts plus strength training should I keep losing weight at a good amount each week? Im hitting 1-1.5lbs a week loss right now but more interested in toning and getting fitter, and not so out of breath. Any advice is very much apprieciated , as im looking for a good workout that isnt too har on my legs and knee joints x

The videos are great....you can modify them if needed, if something hurts. Like for me, the side steps after a while start to bother my knee...so I do them as long as I can and then I go back to walking.

She also have videos that are walk/jog..I have one and love it. And there are the stretchy band videos (have one of those too lol) and you use the bands (in lieu of weights) but you can surely feel the workout.

I would highly recommend Leslie's videos!

I have to agree with myrahonbarrie. The best thing about the workouts is that you can tailor them to your comfort level.
There are several workouts "Walk at Home" workouts on youtube.com. Check out the videos there before you invest in the DVDs.

What others have said ... tailor these as needed.... UP or DOWN.

To bump them up use light handweights or wear a weighted vest. You might consider a rebounder (mini trampoline) if you want a low impact but higher intensity (more like jogging). You choose ... here are a few video links ....

circuit type (not Leslie ... but low impact)

Il have a look at the links, thanks for those. Iv done 2 2 mile walks this week and did the 3 mile this morning thinking it would be easy as I walk 2hrs a week twice a week anyway. Wrong! It was a lot harder then I thought, I might try it with weights tomorow. Il definatly keep this workout up as its so easy but makes you sweat and work hard!

MFP is even thinking of adding a special emoticon for us-a tennis shoe.

    Hope you join us.
