Are there any runners?
Would like to know a few of them , their practices and diet....how to build up stamina.Do they run on treadmill or outside.
I am 26 yr old and 5'2".
My stats:
SW:167
CW:152
GW:121
I run on treadmill, tried running outside, could , but did not like people staring.Any body completed running 5K?

It's better to increase stamina gradually. Start with a very slow running; rather slow jogging.
1. Jog for 1 minute and then brisk walk for 3 minutes and repeat this for 30 minutes. Do this for a week.
2. Next week, try jogging for 2 minutes and brisk walk for 5 minutes and repeat till 30 minutes. Do it for a week.
3. Then it should be 3 minute jog n 5 minutes brisk walk for 30 minutes for a week.
4. Ten 5 minutes jog, 5 minutes brisk walk for 30 minutes for a week.
Like wise go on increasing till you reach 15 minutes jog and 15 minutes brisk walk.
Then start gradually increasing the speed.0 -
Hello Satish,
Helpful post. Currently started on my weight loss journey - I am heading out for 'brisk' walks in the neighbourhood. Walking about 4 kms in an hour. I believe this is not a good speed, I hope to jog/run but find it very difficult and am out of breath after a short sprint. What is your advice?
Please help if u can.0
