Well I have been dating the girl I met offline for like 2 months and we're not technically exclusive... but niether of us are dating anyone else.0 -
totally depends on the people. I am not usually one to date others, but I met this guy through a friend, then through facebook, and it has been over a month and still don't know if we are supposed to be exclusive? We haven't had the talk, but thinking he isn't seeing anyone else, and I haven't been, but if he doesn't step it up - that will change soon0

Usually within a month I know whether I want to date someone exclusively.0

I imagine it's pretty much the same as dating someone offline?0

Standard internet protocol specifies 9 dates.0

Have never actually been on a date with anyone from online, but for me would be the same as offline. After the first date.
I personally don't like the idea of dating more than one person at a time as it means at some point you might have to choose. Makes more sense to date one person, if it doesn't work then you move on. but thats just me.0 -
Isn't there an app for that? i.e. I have no clue.0

I did. I got tired of the arguing and took a break. My new goal is not to make anything other than sarcastic comments on any thread that may be contentious.0 -

I highly suggest taking off your clothes and running screaming through a crowd.
SUCH a relaxing hobby.0 -

Ugh, penis envy is so ugly.0 -
I go 'exclusive' (not a word we used in the UK) after 3 - 5 dates. And naked, usually! If I like him I know. If he likes me I know. It's not a big deal here. If you fall out after 3 months, then it's not working. But usually I can eek out a relationship for 12 or so years...........lol.............................. j/k
Are you dating someone OP?? :bigsmile:0 -
I usually decide after the first few dates if I want to stop seeing other people, but I wouldn't assume I was exclusive until he asks me to be his girlfriend or makes it known....
If it comes time for the hankey pankey, I would expect him not to be seeing others, and if I had doubts I might ask??
Haven't been in that situation before.
but I wouldn't assume you are exclusive, he has to say it verbally0 -
It depends.
I assume anyone I meet (offline or online) is casually dating until you have a convo about it. I generally don't force this convo, but keep dating casually (no intimacy) until either a) he takes up so much of my time that I have no time or desire for other guys or b) he brings it up.
With BB, my current boyfriend and someone I met online, we dated 3 months before becoming "officially exclusive" and are now on our 8th month.
A couple boyfriends ago, one I met off-line was clear on date 2 that he did not believe in casual dating. We dated for about 4-5 months.0 -
I'm a great multitasking, but usually not when it comes to dating.... So, 3 dates is about my average. It doesn't mean commitment, but does mean that I'm not talking to anyone else. I do realize that he may still be dating others until we have the official talk and that's fine. I just can't do it.0
