My Routine

As a busy working parent I thought I would share what I try to do for a work out routine. I think just about every week something happens to derail it, but this is my plan.
M - 30 min lifting at a 24x7 access gym during lunch break. I'm doing strong lifts 5x5
T - Run 3-6 miles after work, depending on how the family is doing
W - 30 min lifting at a 24x7 access gym during lunch break. I'm doing strong lifts 5x5
Th - Run 3-6 miles after work, depending on how the family is doing
F - 30 min lifting at a 24x7 access gym during lunch break. I'm doing strong lifts 5x5
S - I try to get a long run in on Saturday or Sunday. 6 - 10 miles
Sun -
With summer coming up my runs will be a lot easier because I can use a jogging stroller and end my run at the park with the kids.A balance of finding time to work out without causing your partner to flip out seems to be key.

Sounds like a great plan. I try to use the time my kids are both in school to my advantage. I have about an hour and a half twice a week where they are both in class so those days I have no excuse to sit around. I try to walk on the treadmill for at least 30 mins but I do get derailed at times since I also tend to use this time to hit the store so I'm not dragging them with me.0
