So I'm looking at a NAS for media consolidation and was looking at FreeNAS. Seems to be a best bang for my buck, as I have an older quad core Athlon Black Edition with 16GB of ram, figure I can toss 4 2TB drives in there, boot FreeNAS off a 16GB USB stick in the back and run something like PS3 Media Server for linux to share the movies, music, etc.

Anyone else taken on a project like this?
