Tree trunk calves

Not sure if anyone else out there has this issue, but I figured I would ask some local folks!
My calves are large enough that fining boots is difficult (without paying an arm and a leg). So, the question is, does anyone know what exercises might help to thin them out? I know it may be mostly a hereditary thing, but any advice would be appreciated! The rest I am working on and seeing slow progress, but that is one area that has always vexed me. Thank you all in advance! Here is to the journey!

One can't spot reduce fat... (unfortunately)
You will have to lose from your whole body and let your calves reduce when they feel like reducing (even if they're last)... My trouble spot is my upper thighs, but they seem like they want to be last.. Just keep working on it, and you'll get them eventually... You can tone them up by running, squats, jumping jacks, etc...0 -
Running and cycling have helped tone my calves but as CoolHand said, you can't spot reduce. They'll eventually slim down as the rest of you does.0
