Local to Greensboro Area
Going to be a cool rainy day tomorrow but if anyone is looking for a local run http://reddogfarm.com/ is hosting a 3 and 6 mile run. Here is a clip of the info from their site.
Red Dog Farm is Hoofin' It to Boston and we need your help! On Monday, April 15th a friend of Red Dog Farm, Reid Bolinger, will be running the Boston Marathon. The Boston Marathon is the oldest annually run marathon on earth. He will be able to participate in this spectacular event thanks to the John Hancock Non-Profit Bib Program. Once he was invited to run, he had to choose a charity to raise money for. Reid stated "This was the easy part. I chose Red Dog Farm Animal Rescue Network in Greensboro. I chose this organization because of their great work in our community helping homeless animals find forever homes". Reid's goal is to raise $5,000 for Red Dog Farm.
In order to raise money and awareness Reid in partnership with Red Dog Farm will be hosting a fundraiser, Red Dog Farm Group Fun Run and Dog Walk. The event will take place on Saturday, February 23rd at Off N' Running in Greensboro. Registration for the run will begin at 7:30 am. Runners will have two courses to choose from. A 6 mile Group Run will start at 8:30 am and a 3 mile Group Run will start at 9:00 am. Red Dog Farm Animal Rescue Network adoptable dogs will be in attendance for the dog walk. There is not a charge for this event but we would appreciate a donation of at least $15.00. For your $15.00 donation you will get the opportunity to enter our raffle. The raffle will take place at Off N' Running at approximately at 10:00 am. If you would like to buy more raffle tickets we will be selling them 2 for $25.00 or 3 for $40.00.
